Riot Games’ highly anticipated fighting game 2XKO excited players with its gameplay video during the live broadcast at the Evo 2024 event. In the released gameplay video, we watch the newly announced Braum, Ekko, Ahri, Yasuo and Illao play 4 matches.
We reviewed the 2XKO 10-minute gameplay video for you:
As the fight begins, instead of the ‘Fight!’ warning we are used to from Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, we see the text ‘Let’s Go!’ placed coolly behind the characters. Riot wanted to find its own style. In addition, before the fight starts, the characters interact with each other within certain animations.
As we see in the video, there can be four people in a fight. There is the ‘Tap In – Tap Out’ event in American wrestling, and players can switch places with their teammates when their health is low.
Although the hit animations are very fluid, there is a millisecond pause during the hit to the opponent. The same applies when blocking. However, this is necessary in fighting games to get the feeling of hitting.
When a player’s health is low, the game automatically gives control to the living player. Although the dead player cannot control their own character, the player can use their teammate in double attacks.
The game has the ‘Best of 3’ round system, which is a classic of fighting games, and the rounds are 120 seconds long. The round does not end until both players on a team are low.
Of course, since this is a Riot Games game and these characters are LoL characters, you will be throwing an ultimate instead of a Fatality in 2XKO.
Finally, you will be watching the regions of the Runeterra universe where League of Legends takes place in the background of the fighting arenas. You will be able to fight in Zaun, Piltover, Demacia, Noxus and many more regions.
It was announced at the EVO 2024 fair that the Riot Games fighting game 2XKO will be free to play and players will be able to earn all the characters with the balance they earn in the game.
